Aiming to raise public awareness of heart valve disease, encourage early detection, and improve health outcomes, the Alliance for Aging Research launched Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day in 2016 as a national public health awareness campaign.
Creative direction & production
For a decade, I have led the creative direction and video production of the campaign’s annual public service announcements. Working closely with the Alliance team, I transform medical messaging into engaging visual stories that make complex health information accessible to the general public.
Distribution & broadcast
Beyond production, I oversee PSA distribution and broadcast coordination, including air traffic management, performance tracking, and reporting to measure campaign reach and impact.
The annual PSAs have aired on television stations nationwide, reaching millions of Americans and supporting the campaign’s ongoing awareness efforts.
I led the creative development and production of this 60-second PSA to raise awareness of heart valve disease and help people recognize its symptoms.
The creative concept uses the acronym LISTEN to highlight six common symptoms that are often mistaken for normal aging. Working closely with the Alliance team to ensure medical accuracy, I focused on turning complex health information into a clear, engaging, and memorable message that encourages viewers to talk to their doctors.
